Maybe strep throat: A person can get herpes lip sores recurrences when he is stressed with another infection such as a strep throat. His primary care doctor can do a rapid strep test and get a result in 5 minutes. Antibiotics are needed for strep throat.

HIV disease: If you are concerned that you may have been exposed to HIV you should go and be tested as quickly as is feasible.  Hopefully this will be negative but if not, early diagnosis and management are best.  The elements of "illness" that you have had sound like coincidence rather than immune deficiency.

Could be serious: Sounds like you have folliculitis and enlarged lymph node.  But without knowing further details, difficult to day.  It could be bartholin's cyst abscess, which will require surgical drainage.  You need antibiotics at least.  See a doctor for specific advice.

See your podiatrist.: Swollen feet and ganglion cysts are possibly two separate diagnoses.  Swollen feet must be evaluated because they can have many causes including kidney and heart problems.  If a ganglion cyst is painful it can be treated by removing the gel like fluid inside, but they often recur.  A more definitive treatment is to remove them at the source, which is within a joint.   This must be done with surgey.

Unlikely, but...: This is unlikely to be related to the cervical sympathetic ganglion, unless you have a Schwannoma or other unusual situation.  If you are concerned that there is something going on please see a physician for evaluation.

FIRST contact your: surgeon. 
 if today is a follow up day make sure you do so.
Tightening bandages, failure to ice and elevate, failure to move fingers if permitted, channeled to swelling and in turn tingling. Even so swelling can occur anyway despite doing these things. Your  surgeonmay even tel you to loosen the badge a bit  BUT

The most important thing is  to contact your surgeon.If you can't seek help elsewhere

RICE: First elevate the extremity.  Some post-op swelling is to be expected and should resolved in a week or so.  If however your incision is draining, or your hand is red and warm, this may be a post-op infection.  You should contact your surgeon so that they can evaluate your hand asap to rule this out.

i had ecu stabilisation and ganglion excision two weeks ago and my thumb is quite swollen and numb as well as not able to move past a certain point and nerve tingling at base that moves up my thumb. is this normal?
