: It sounds like vascular issue needs to be ruled out. Please see your doctor for a complete vascular exam, so further tests can be recommended to check perfusion in your feet and identify the reason (atherosclerosis, thrombosis, aneurysm, dissection). It’s less likely given you have symptoms in both feet but definitely need a complete vascular exam.

Glandular fever: Your niece needs to see a doctor for a proper work up. Lymphadenopathy has many causes such as Lymphoma, TB Lymphadenitis, metastatic carcinoma etc. Careful examination and possibly laboratory investigations might be indicated

Before anything else: The cause of your cold feet must be diagnosed.  There can be several reasons for cold feet including poor circulation, peripheral neuropathy, vasospastic disease, and even some arthritic conditions can do this. Start by going to your pmd who will make a recommendation for you to see an appropriate specialist. Once we have a diagnosis, then we can find a suitable treatment.

Circulation: Usually cold feet is caused by 1) cold weather, 2) poor circulation, 3) neuropathy (which is nerve disease), or disorders that cause the blood vessels to go into spasm like raynauds syndrome.  See pcp.

Warm them up: If you work outdoors or are exposed to cold, wear warmer shoes and socks. Making sure your feet are dry can help.

There can be medical reasons for cold feet as well: issues with your circulation, thyroid or peripheral nerves that affect bloodflow to the feet and toes.  Check with your doctor if these issues might be the problem.

Not really: It is not at all unusual for people to have cold feet. There is usually no reason to be concerned about this unless there is also discoloration or sores on the feet.

&gt; 1 possibilities: If the ambient temp is cool, the body decreases circulation to the hands and feet to conserve warmth.   The same happens if a person is slightly dehydrated, esp with illness and fever, so pushing giving fluids may help. Likely the child has a condition called dyshydrosis where the feet tend to sweat and the evaporation cools the skin.  Often there is no known cause.  No worry if child acts well.
