Several things: Exercise helps maintain muscle tone which can help with swollen feet.  Avoid excess salt intake.  You can wear stockings.  Swimming is one of the best ways to deal with swelling.

See your OB: Swelling of feet and hands can be normal or a sign of preeclampsia or eclampsia, please see your OB to check your urine for the presence of protein and to check and monitor your blood pressure.

when should i worry about swelling during pregnancy? my hands and feet are already swelling. this didn't start until 7 months with my other son.

Pregnant now?: If you aren't pregnant, just note if the swelling is gone in the morning but recurs by afternoon/evening, especially if you are on your feet all day.  Also, check your blood pressure frequently.  If still a problem after a few days, see your doctor.
Same applies if pregnant, just make sure you get to your doctor soon, and check blood pressure twice daily.  If &gt;140/90, see your doctor immediately.

Allergic reaction: It is possible that you are allergic to something that is manifested later on as swelling and severe itching! Take 50 Mg of Benadryl every 6 hours . I would suggest consulting with your PCP and possibly refer you to allergist for further evaluation and treatment . To the emergency room if you have respiratory issues !

Edema in pregnancy: Following your last question, if your swelling is not acute in onset it may just be a normal process in pregnancy, there are a few things you can do to reduce it: avoid caffeine, limit salt intake, rest with your legs elevated, use support stockings, avoid being outdoors when it's hot, consume potassium containing foods like banana and orange. The two are: probably NOT related (it would be a co-incidence for one of the oral lesions to be in the EXACT location  HOWEVER it is theoretically possible!

my 5 year old has been diagnosed with hand foot and mouth disease. red bumps and swelling but today purple bruising on the feet. is bruising normal?

Bruised feet: Maybe something else.  HFM disease typically has white or clear blisters.  Bruising suggests something else.    See your doctor again.   It maybe HSP (Henock schonlien  purpura) which causes bruising of the legs.   This condition lasts a few weeks and affects the kidneys and intestine as well.   The key is the distribution of the rash.  Legs only is HSP!

Must treat: This is very suspicious for Lyme. About 30% will never test positive for Lyme. You need a course of antibiotics ASAP. Lyme must be treated quickly, or else it becomes chronic and is much harder to treat.

Well-known: Chemotherapy-induced acral erythema. Your oncologist is familiar with this and the fact that it's occurred may affect choice of chemotherapeutic agents in the future for you. Ask whether a trial of vitamin b6 would be permissible.

Allergic reaction?: Possibly you are exposed to some allergen either in food or in environment . Take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) apply Cortisone cream. If not better or spreading or Shortness of breath go to Urgent care please
