Diabetes: Diabetes causes elevated sugars in your blood, urine and bodily secretions. When out of control, a diabetic will have glycosuria, sweet urine &amp; secrete ketones, which may cause a sweet smell to your breath.  Please see your doctor to check if you may have diabetes.
Many lubricants like Astroglide or Silk are glycerin based.  Glycerin is a water soluble sugar. This could also cause a sweet taste.

I have searched for causes of a sweet taste in the mouth and have come up with two possible reasons - high blood sugar and high ketones (usually seen in diabetes).  See your doctor and tell her/him what you are experiencing.
