Can be: Depends on how  sharp the glass is, the size of the glass and where it becomes dislodged (in the lung, throat or gastrointestinal tract.  Have your md take a look.

: You should go to the ER and have him evaluated to be safe. How big were the glass pieces? Were the pieces sharp or smooth? If he swallowed tiny pieces of smooth glass, this would likely pass on its own. But, if this is not the case (pieces are bigger, edges are sharp) or if you don’t know, then go to the ER and have him evaluated. How did he come to swallow glass? Best of luck to both of you!

Return to ER: If your pain is worsening then you should return to the er for further evaluation.

: Eat a good meal and observe the symptom. It is uncommon for that accident to occur and become symptomatic. You should be fine and forget about the incident. If abdominal pain persists or gets worse with new symptoms such as bloating, nausea/vomiting, etc. you should see a doctor then. Good luck!

i maybe swallowed glass shards, a piece of bread fell on the floor and i ate it, only to realize after that there had been glass on the ground. if i did swallow any shards they were less than 2mm. it may be psychosomatic, but my neck hurts on 1 side?

See your Doc: Even though you suspect the pain to be psychosomatic , it continues to worry you.  From what you described, it sounds like you didn’t notice swallowing glass immediately.  This only occurred to you when you thought about there being glass on the floor.  The longer you worry without being checked, the worse you feel both physically and emotionally.  Ask your doctor for help so you can relax.

Croup: Sounds like you have croup. Hot liquids will south you. Usually croup is of viral etiology and does not require much management. A short course of steroids helps relieve the symptoms. It lasts only 7-10 days.
Whereas if it lasts longer than that, then it means, secondary bacterial super infection. You will need antibiotics in that circumstance.

Doctor can evaluate: Throat pain can be from strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees a doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to see about antibiotics). The doctor can look up into the nose to see if anything serious is going on.

I : I cannot tell you the cause of your pain. If you look back in your throat, or have someone else do this for you, and there is significant swelling on the the left side of your throat/ left tonsil and it looks like it is dripping pus or contains pus, that could be  problematic.  If that were the case, you would need to be promptly evaluated to ensure that you did not have a peritonsillar abscess (a painful pus filled inflammation of the tonsil  or the nearby tissues in the throat).
