Emergency room: I would take your child to er immediately because glass can cause bleeding in the esophagus or stomach as it travels down.

Depends.: If the glass was a piece of broken glass and large, you may want to see a pediatrician for advice about this. A glass marble, however, is probably not a problem. Most foreign bodies (glass or otherwise) that are ingested pass through without difficulty, but of course that depends on the size, shape, and sharpness of the object swallowed. Bloody or black stools are a sign there is a problem; see md.
