i was wondering are the right supraclavicular lymph node palpable in fat people?

Depends : It depends on how big the node is and how much fat is in the supraclavicular fossa. In general the more fat there is in an area the harder it is to feel nodes.

: My guess it is a lipoma. Runs in families and should be able to find others elsewhere.

i am a 49 female and saw my left supraclavicular node swollen. today - it seems smaller. bb sized but the fat or muscle that surrounds seems swollen. i just have been going thru ear estachian tube issues and use flonase now. should this be a concern?

No: That's a superstition. Actually, a big node at the medial end of the left clavicle, where the thoracic duct drains into the jugular vein is a common sign that one has carcinoma and it's too late -- so no hurry in getting diagnosed. Pathological nodes are obviously abnormal -- rock hard, or grow very big, or are stuck to something they shouldn't be.

Need more info: Enlarged lymph nodes occur for a variety of reasons. You need to have a complete exam. If these lymph nodes persist, then further diagnostic imaging and possibly a biopsy are needed.

TOS: Thoracic outlet syndrome is accompanied by pain in this region, where the subclavian artery and brachial plexus begin to be impinged by partial closure of the costoclavicular dimension, which in normality is about 1 cm high.  A sloped shoulder and abnormal excursion of the clavicle causes abnormal closure of this space.
