: If patient has been anuric (urine output less than 300 cc/day) for years, it is extremely to have good urine output again. I see anuric patients for a couple weeks or even months then regaining urine output above oliguric range again but I've never seen a case regaining good urine output after several years. Try to collect and record volume/day for at least a week, then talk to nurse and doctor.

why is it i can go 15 hours or more and not urinate. then all the sudden start urinating 3 to 4 times large amounts within a 2 hour period?

: If you are not severely dehydrated, not voiding for 15 hours is not normal. Your medical and social history are also important for a correct answer. You should see a urologist for a thorough evaluation. Take care.

Orthostasis: This is a phenomenon called orthostasis.  It is very common and usually related to blood volume status.  The reason you are having this is the unclear part and what a doctor can help you with.  When lying flat the body produces more urine which will worsen your symptoms Try doing 5 toe raises when you feel the symptoms to raise your blood pressure and put 3 pillows behind your head when you lie

Alcohol/Caffeine: Chemicals that cause urination are referred to as diuretics.  Many commonly encountered substances increase the need to urinate, most notably alcoholic beverages and those containing caffeine.  Of course, simply drinking a lot of any liquid should result in an increased need to urinate assuming the person has normal kidney function.

Could be infection: Could be infection or some other irritation causing bladder spasm (microscopic blood for example).  An infection could be urinary, or genital. A urinalysis will help. See your doctor or go to a clinic.

See doc today: Symptoms suggest coinciding bowel and bladder inflammatory conditions. An isolated UTI does not typically lead to frequent bowel movements. A good physical exam as well as a urinalysis with culture would be important to have performed

: Urine output depends mainly on fluid intake. Try drinking more fluids. Get a urine test. If normal, try holding urine for 5-6 more minutes by any diversion ( another job, eg music, TV, conversation,  and gradually increase it . You will be able to hold it longer

my total urine output for a 24 hours is 6000ml which is very excessive, also i feel sudden urge to urinate can't hold the pee more than 10 minutes. what disease i am from. any scan i need to take?

: I've just answered your question. If you are not diabetic and the amount of urine is correctly collected, you should be admitted to a hospital for the correct diagnosis. When blood sugar is normal and polyuria is confirmed by a very diluted urine with a high serum sodium level (hypernatremia) you could suffer from diabetes insipidus (central or nephrogenic).
