i have been having sudden heart rate increases while sitting.

Needs evaluation.: Sudden heart rate increase while at rest is not normal. However it is unclear as to what the actual heart rate is or whether it resolves on its own. An unexpected increase in the heart rate while rest warrants a detailed history, exam and possibly rhythm monitoring. If the rate increase is mild, eg. from 60 to 90 beats per minute, it may be benign. Would recommend that you seek further evaluation

while sitting at rest my sports watch alarm went off indicating a sudden heart rate spike to 130bpm. i felt nothing unusual in my chest or torso or breathing. developed a pain in my left arm which lasted 18 hrs or so. should i get a heart check up?

Rapid heart: These devices are not vey accurate and many things can make they get an inaccurate reading.  When you see this I would check your pulse yourself at your wrist to document the accuracy.  But chest pain is bothersome if you have had heart disease in past or a strong family history of early onset heart disease.  There are many families in SA with inherited high cholesterol Have yours checked.

Possibly: It is difficult to know the mechanism when someone  feels a rapid heart rate. It is normal to note a more rapid heart rate during exercise, but unusual to feel a sudden onset of rapid heart rate following exercise. An evaluation is indicated. Often times this evaluation will include attempts to record the heart rate at the time of these symptoms.

sudden rapid heart rate of 167bpm. was just walking. heart rate now normal but chest feels a little heavy. i had no caffeine. feel jittery.

Get checked: I would go to the emergency room by calling 911 due to the rapid  heart rate and chest discomfort. Good luck.

Palpitation: anxiety, hyperthyroidism can be the cause of the symptoms ,although heart disease can do it also , but in a 21 y/o it is unlikely but not impossible

Evaluate now: tachycardia with low blood pressure is worrisome.  You should be evaluated immediately in the ER

Several: Cardio-inhibitory form of vasodepressor reflex. Complete heart block as might occur during myocardial infarction, myotonic dystrophy, or lyme disease.  Iatrogenic complete heart block from medical procedures. Use of beta blockers in patients with sick sinus syndrome. There are probably others but these come to mind.

can ibs cause sudden feeling of fainting, sudden low pressure and sudden increase of heart rate?

Not typical: Fainting on the background of increased heart rate and low blood pressure is not typical of IBS. Workup would be needed in oder to find out an alternate cause. Heart itself may be at the origin of your symptoms, specifically an arrhythmia. Please discuss with your treating providers as they have a complete view of your medical situation.

i have hypokalemic pp. i work out 5 days a week (weights) but if i go on a cardio machine i'll have sudden drop in heart rate & weakness. why?

Tricky: muscle issues like PP can affect the heart (a muscle).
You'll want an evaluation with exercise stress test prior to any more exercise.
