Symptoms of extensor carpi ulnaris injury (ECU) may include:  wrist pain or discomfort (especially the pinky side of the wrist), pain with turning a doorknob or opening a jar top, weakened grip, hand cramps, etc... It may be an overuse injury.

Ortho consult: Studies show a long arm cast with the elbow at 90 degrees, the wrist in 30 degrees of extension and slight radial deviation, pronation is appropriate conservative treatment for this type of injury.

Purpose is to rest.: The wrist brace is meant to help your wrist rest. Subluxations of the ECU (extensor carpi ulnaris) are often accompanied by inflammation &amp; pain of the tendon (from sports injury or from rheumatoid arthritis). The wrist brace is an "external tendon", holds the wrist in place, less strain on the tendon, allowing it to heal. If tendon recovers, sublux may as well. See Hand Surgeon/Ortho. Use HT Prime

Exercise/brace/docto: Straight leg raise exercises will strengthen your quadriceps and pull the patella (kneecap) into place.  I am sure that you were instructed how to do these after your operation.  Lie on the floor and lift your leg up 18 inches with your leg locked straight.  Hopefully do this wear combat boot or a weight of some king and hold it there for 40 seconds and repeat.  Do both legs and see doctor

Rehab first: If you can "pop" your shoulder in and out at will without any past history of injury then you may be classified as a voluntary subluxator. Generally nonoperative mangement is advised such as therapy. However, if it becomes unbearable/painful or if you had history of injury resulting in shoulder dislocation then surgery may be an option if non-operative means have failed to control your symptoms.
