Doctor can evaluate: With a special injury like that, a specialist such as a Sports Medicine doctor, an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon, or an Occupational Medicine doctor can evaluate. Symptoms of extensor carpi ulnaris injury (ECU) may include: wrist pain or discomfort (especially the pinky side of the wrist), pain with turning a doorknob or opening a jar top, weakened grip, hand cramps, etc... It may be an overuse injury.
