Basically, subluxation refers to minor or partial dislocation, typically in reference to joints but also used by dentists to describe loose teeth due to trauma. Check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subluxation which also notes that chiropractors use this phrase to describe abnormalities of the spine.
