what is the best remedy for a sty inside lower eye lid?

Warm compresses: A stye is due to a clogged oil gland. Use warm compresses over the eyelids for 10 min at least 4-6 times a day. This will help open up the clogged oil gland. You can also clean your eyelids and lashes with diluted baby shampoo to clean the oil glands twice a day.  If this does not work see your eye doctor for further treatment.

Stye: Facial swelling is not usual with styes, even of the lower lid. Associated redness and/or pain of the face would be worrisome, but nevertheless it would be best to be examined by a physician or ophthalmologist for peace of mind.

A chalazion (stye): can increase in size before surfacing and then expressing itself. Using warm comprises aggressively with gentle massage to break up solidified material will allow the material to surface and exit thus reducing the size. If in the rare case it does not resolve then your Ophthalmologist can remove it for you.

Not helpful: Very warm (not hot) compresses applied 5 times per day for 5 minutes each time is the best option.  Tobradex cannot penetrate a stye as it is sealed off from the outside.

: Probably a chalazion.
A chalazion presents as a firm nontender nodule without signs of inflammation and tends to be chronic.  No treatment is necessary unless the nodule becomes large enough to distort vision or to be cosmetic blemish.

have reoccurring styes on both eyes. no conjunctivitis, but the upper and lower lids are swollen and hurt much. stye so large blocks sight. what 2do?

Styes: If your styes are so lage have them drained by an eye doctor,otherwise, use hot compresses to have them come to a head and drain. An ocular antibiotic like Erythromycin would also help

It : It may be a stye, because there are glands near that 'hole' which is the entrance to your tear drain system. Or it may be an infection of the lacrimal (tear drainage) system. Hot compresses will help both, but if it gets worse in the next 24-48 hours, you should see an ophthalmologist for treatment. Antibiotic drops with a little steroid mixed in works well for both of these problems.

If medical treatment does not work, in-office minor procedures can be done for both problems.

i am on a topical antibiotic for my eye. i have now developed 2 styes, same eye. the stye on my lower lid has a swollen pouch under it, what is it?

Compress: Try to use warm compress and don't touch ur eye without washing your hands. Keep using topical antibiotics, if doing this for 48 hours doesn't show any improvement or if it is getting worse then see a doc.
