Surgery: That depends on how stuffy your nose is.  If you have a head cold and you are having general anesthesia as you state , the surgery will probably be postponed.  Depending on where the ganglion is your surgeon may elect to go twilight sleep and local anesthesia.  But the ultimate call will be by the anesthesiologist.

Stuffy nose: this will only be determined by your Anasthesiologist the morning of the surgery. But as long as you don't have any breathing difficulties they will probably proceed.

Inform doctor: If she is having respiratory problem, she will be at risk of life-threatening events under general anesthesia.  If she would not inform the surgeon, you will need to find a way to convey this information to the surgeon.  Although an exam often will detect the problem but it is not foolproof.

: Antibiotics will clear up a bacterial infection. If the infection is viral in nature, you'll have to let it take its course. Your physician can be of further assistance.

Water, water: Drink lots of water. Breathe steam [easy: make a cup of tea and inhale the steam]. Try salt water nose rinses [spray, bottle like neilmed, or neti pot]. Consider over the counter decongestants. Figure out *why* your nose is stuffy: infection? Allergies? Good luck. Hope you can breathe easily soon.
