i have noticed a very thin, straight black line running verticality up my big right toe and another fainter on on the other side of the same toe. it doesn't seem to be growing out, should i be worried?

This needs eval: It may well be a splinter hemorrhage (but there is a tiny chance for melanoma).

what kind of spider would cause severe vomiting for 36hrs straight and the toe that was bitten to go black/purple?

Recluse: Brown recluse and black widows have a toxic venom that destroys tissue and can lead to gangrene. These need to be addressed as soon as possible to stop the tissue destruction.

is a biopsy done on susp. nodular melanoma or is it removed straight away? i have a 7mm wide black spot on toe and its scaring me witless

Accepted Answer

It should be excised: Complete excision of this lesion is the way to find out if it is a melanoma. There is no use in doing a biopsy on  a mole that is so small(.

my wife found a strange looking insect bite on her foot.
not sure if its dangerous to her.
3 straight scratch marks and small black dot. not itchy.

Dangerous?: Doesn't sound like it is especially if it is just marks and no symptoms, pain, fever, redness swelling or itching? Sure it was an insect bite? Hard to say without a picture or more history but it is unlikely to be of any consequence if it does not bother her. Would see a practitioner if it is still of concern.

i have a bulge on my stomach but only noticeable when i lean back no pain or discomfort just squishy bulge it runs straight down ?

Hernia: I would not hesitate to be seen, it could potentially be a small hernia.  Para umbilical hernias are fairly common.

i bent over touched my toes to stretch. then reached straight up in the air to stretch. felt something in lower back. hurt for weeks now.

Strain: This is a lumbosacral strain most likely.  It should resolve by now.  If you're experiencing radiation of pain into the buttocks down your leg, a ruptured intervertebral disc could have occurred instead. It's time to consult your physician or an orthopedic specialist for diagnosis and treatment.

my 5th toe (pinky) is broken. i was told it will heal crooked (leaning away from the adjacent toe.) is there anything that can help it heal straight?

Splint Toe: You may try splinting the toe to the next toe with tape. I also suggest you have an x-ray to see if the fracture has displaced.

after a 5 mile run i was holding a touch your toes stretch for around a minute and then when i went to stand straight after the position i felt a really weird sensation near my left ab?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. If you do not have residual issues, you may ignore it. If there is a bruise at the site, or a swelling it would be prudent to see a doctor.
