Depends on symptoms: If the disease goes into remission it may be possible to stop medication this is something to discuss with your rheumatologist. If the disease is still active it may harmful to the joints and frankly dangerous to stop your medications abruptly.

In some cases: Minocin (minocycline) can help some people with rheumatoid arthritis. Even though it is an antibiotic its effect in arthritis  is felt to be due to its anti-inflammatory effects  and interferring with substances that cause  joint and cartilage damage  called  metalloproteinases.

It works for some.: Minocycline and Doxycycline have been shown by eular (multi-unversity), and the nih in the us.  Most rheumatologists do not use these, even though there are controlled trials demonstrating equal effececy  with Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) and sulfasalzine.  I use both quite often.

since one year it take 15 mg methotrexate tablet weekly for rheumatoid arthritis so when i can stop it now my blood test is normal but still have pain?

Which blood test etc: Methotrexate is a good medication for rheumatoid arthritis but it doesn't cure your arthritis - it works as long as you take it.  If you still have pain, it may because of active disease (inflammation), or damage that the arthritis has already caused.  You should follow up with a rheumatologist if possible.

lost all my doctors this year during the insurance change i am on prednisone 5 mg two tablets a day been taking for 11 days already  i want to stop can you help me tapering how? i have rheumatoid arthritis

Tapering Prednisone: there are different ways of doing it, if it were less than 10 days duration, you wouldn't have needed to taper, also depends on other medicines you are taking and whether you were on a higher dosage before. You can just reduce the dose by 1/2 tablet (2.5 mg) a day till done. The question now : how will you manage later on without a doctor? good luck

Stay inside: Regardless of underlying conditions and age you cannot become sick if you arenever expeosed.  Stay inside, limit contact with the outside world to getting food and medical care, wear a mask and gloves etc.  Be safe with your behaviors and you should be OK.

Headaches may result: from all 3 meds Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine), Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) (acetaminophen/hydrocodone), Elavil (amitriptyline), rheumatoid arthritis, Iron deficiency anemia, ovarian cyst and stress. Using amitriptyline together with hydrocodone may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Seek evaluation. Use lifestyle changes and stress reduction.
