Depends on cause: Stomach ache can have many causes - for example, it can be infectious (goes along with your fever), like a viral gastroenteritis.  Stomach bug symptoms usually last 5-7 days.  Having a mild diet, no alcohol, staying hydrated is best.  Extended fevers, bloody diarrhea, increasing abdominal pain is cause for concern.

Your physician can have you see people such as gastroenterology or your previous surgeon, but I can't help clarify the issues you were feeling.
