Varying BP: Your fall in your blood pressure and your increase of your pulse when you stand up seems to be due to some volume deficit. If you are dizzy when you stand up, i would go to the er and have your blood taken to see if you have any anemia, or any chemical evidence of dehydration. If you are not dizzy, discuss your BP meds with your physician, maybe their doses can be lowered. Good luck.

Sometimes, standing up straight can shift the spine to cause this.  The "pinched nerve".

In those two situations, he will feel faint while standing or when quickly rising to a standing position. He could have a heart malformation or an abnormal heart rhythm. In these two situations, the symptoms may occur more randomly. A cardiologist's evaluation is helpful.

Heart rate: Rapid heartbeat on standing can have many causes. Low blood volume, venous insufficiency and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome are three of them. There are a number of others. You need an evaluation by a doctor to try and explain your finding.
