why does my knee hurt when i take a deep breath, the pain is on the lower inside of the my knee, it also hurts when i lift my knee and when walking, feels like a stabbing pain and when i touch the area i can feel the pain as well , 7 days now with it?

: You need to have this evaluated-there are many possibilities so an evaluation needs to be done. You may need an MRI of the knee and then see an orthopedic surgeon to examine your knee and review the MRI to diagnose the problem so that treatment can then be given. Good luck!

i have a hiatas hernia which has been treated with medication for the last 6-weeks.
i developed a pain on my left side upper back area - when i am lying down, i struggle to take deep breaths as the pain is like a stabbing pain. is this from the herni?

Hiatal hernia pain: Yes. Could be related to  reflux or H pylori a bacteria associated with gastritis.  Ask your doc if he checked . You could see if elevating your head of bed when lying down helps alleviate the pain

i have a sharp stabbing pain under my left breast. just showed up random 3 hrs ago. hurts to take deep breaths. what could it be? no trama to area

A few choices: If this is a new , sudden pain , as you descibe, it could be spasm of the anterior chest muscles or intercostal (rib) muscles. Heat, stretching, and anti-inflammatory meds will help.
If the pain radiates to the back, consider intercostal neuralgia (irritation of the nerve for each rib). The rib  can also be restricted on breathing in and out (inhalation or exhalation), which would cause pain -.

See a doctor: for an exam. Probably not related to your surgery 3 months ago. Was there appendicitis seen or was there a normal appendix? Physical exam and further testing is indicated.

Spasm: One localised area of pain could be pneumonia or mu
scoloskeletal pain.It is not pleuritic as it does NT  hurt on deep breathing, good physical exam and cxr should help.

Medical attention: Would suggest prompt medical attention. A variety of clinical possibilities, with your history, definitely progressing malignancy will have to be ruled out. Specifically with worsening kidney function, renal complications are definitely possible.

Common issues.: It could be many things including diverticulitis, a renal stone, ovarian torsion, etc.  Have it looked at.  See your doc.  Might be gas, but be safe.

Pleurisy: is when the pleura--tissue that lines the inside of the chest cavity and that surrounds the lung--becomes inflamed. Sharp chest pain that worsens with breathing is its hallmark. Most common causes include pulmonary infection (viral, bacterial, fungal), autoimmune disorder (i.e. rheumatoid arthritis), rib fracture, cancer. It will often resolve on own in a few days; but see your Doc if it doesn't:)

Depending on other: symptoms, it could be something serious, such as pulmonary embolism especially if your knee has bee immoblized, pleurisy, or even pneumonia.  Or it could be shingles.  Get to your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Pleuritis should be suspected if the pain or burning gets worse when you take deep breaths.  There may be several causes of pleuritis, such as infection, inflammation, reactive airway disease, etc. Take an NSAID and call the Dr. for an evlautaion of your chest/lung discomfort
