Epithelial atrophy: Hormonal loss at menopause causes atrophy of vaginal and cervical mucosa and it becomes more susceptible to injury. If the spotting does not stop in  a couple of days, contact your doctor.

No reason not: Sure you can. If you are bleeding heavily enough, you might call the office to see if they want you to reschedule the pap - but bleeding that heavy isn't just form ovulation.

It can be normal: It depends upon how aggressively the MD did the Pap smear and how many cells were removed.

Usually not: Could b a sign of an abrasion from the scraping also superficial infection of it. B cn again for firm DX & rx also.

Tampon before Pap: Unless you installed the tampon very far up the vagina, it will not cause any problem or change the results of your pap smear.  The cells which may be of concern will not be removed by a tampon and  not therefore create a false negative result.

It happens : When a pap smear is done the top layer of cells are sort of scraped off. For some this can cause some bleeding. Hopefully you were tested for infection at the same time as your pap. Infection can make bleeding more common. This usually stops in a day or two. If not the schedule a follow up visit.

: This is most likely normal. The Pap smear involves introducing a soft flexible brushlike tool into the opening of the cervix to collect cells for testing. Een with the most careful collection, the sensitive cervical tissue may bleed from abrasion. Additional localized trauma to the area (such as what happens with intercourse) can lead to repeat bleeding. Once the area heals, it will stop.

There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

May be: Slight spotting and mild cramps could happen. Your feeling run down is probably coincidental. If you do not feel better in a day or two, you should contact your doctor. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.
