Epistaxis: There is a rich plexus of veins just inside your nose, and these veins are the most common cause of nose bleeds (epistaxis). Nose bleeds can also occur in people with bleeding disorders. An ENT specialist can look in your nose and help you.

Nosebleeds: That your doctor should check you one of the many clotting deficiencies. Maybe your nose bled so much that you swallowed blood. What color is the blood in the stool?

i had a sore throat and swollen uvula with difficulty swallowing 6days ago. my dr gave me antibiotics but now i am having posterior nosebleeds and blood clots in post nasal drip. is this just from the sore throat infection?

: Pl let your doc know or see him/her again for re-evaluation. It could be from the infection or from an additional problem

Gum disease : Your gums are probably bleeding. See your dentist. It could be Gingivitis, it could be Periodontal Disease. Have it checked out. Your mouth shouldn't bleed.

No: An occasional nose bleed is not a cause for concern. If it recurs more than twice or if the bleeding is heavy, you should see an ENT doctor.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Not a good idea: It's not a good idea to disturb a clot in a bloody nose because that's what is preventing further bleeding.

Bloody nose: It means that they blood accumulated in your nose and clotted.  This is how your blood should respond to a massive nose bleed, so it would appear that other than the nose bleed, you are probably pretty normal.

Epistaxis : 80% of people experience this in their lives. A common cause is dry, hot air in the western US, causing nasal dryness and crusting. The nasal tissue cracks and bleeds easily. Treatment includes humidification in bedroom, nasal saline sprays &amp; sometimes vaseline in the nose. It's not a major health hazard, but should an ENT doctor who can better evaluate. There may be problems not seen by PCM.

i'm getting blood clots inside the left nostril.my nose doesn't bleed, but when i use the tissue then i can notice some blood, it hurts when i press.

Moisturize: The blood vessels in the nose are very close to the surface, and when the skin gets irritated or dry nose bleeds start. The best thins to try is plain nasal saline spray to moisture the skin. You can also use aloe vera gel to protect the lining of the nose.
