Radiculopathy: Your symptoms and imaging are consistent with cervical radiculopathy. Your ordering physician will likely get a neurosurgeon involved at this point for an assessment for decompressive surgery.

Fairly common: Finding. This does not mean you will be disabled, just that arthritis is setting in and the discs are not as healthy as one would want. Work on strengthening your neck, helping support the area. Range of motion and stretching exercises, and stay well hydrated. Consider physical therapy as well if you start to notice pain and see a physician if you have any radiation of pain into arms. Best of luck.

getting pain in left arm & short breath after eating. arm pain occurs periodiically throughout day when not eating too. i have issues with c3and c4 spine that caused pinched nerve, wondering if related. short breath does not occur all the time?

: Perhaps related to your cervical spine disease, but these symptoms also are of concern for cardiac pain, i.e. angina pectoris (reduced blood supply to heart muscle), which can lead to heart attack. It might be less serious, e.g. related to your upper GI tract. But don't take chances:  get care ASAP. Good luck.

Neck: Best managed initially with pt vs chiropractic care. Stretching, massage, etc. Nsaids & possible eventual cortisone injection are options.

Neurosurgeon: I recommend that you consult a neurosurgeon for evaluation and treatment options. Your MRI demonstrates a herniated intervertebral disc that is pressing the spinal cord at the neck. Also your neck shows osteoarthritis of vertebrae at multiple levels. Your arm symptoms are most likely caused by the disc herniation. Arm weakness is worrisome and requires some treatment to avoid permanent damage

Possibly: EDS is a connective tissue disorder that can manifest itself with laxity of ligaments and joints.  Flexion/extension X-rays can be used to determine the amount of instability you have in your neck and whether you need to be on any activity restrictions.

pateint with anterolithiasis c7/t1 and c4-6 anterior spinal fixation, how regularly would you have to follow up with c-spine xrays? monthly? yearly?

Depends: If you are not having any problems with your neck or neurological issues (numbness, tingling, weakness, balance problems, loss of hand dexterity), no x-rays are needed. If you are having issues, see your spinal specialist (the one who did the surgery), your pcp, or another spinal specialist (if you are no longer seeing the surgeson).

what would cause a dip in the lower right back?   i have bulging discs in c3, c4, and c5.   i also have stenosis of the spine. the area has sunken in.

Posture, shots.: Low back problems/pain results in favoring one side or the other, and change in posture can lead to change in contour of back.  Steroid shots can result in loss of fatty tissue, ending in sunken place.  Best to check with your back doctor.

Cervical amine tony: Typically cervical laminectomies  do not create an unstable spine. Sometimes flex ion and extension xrays can be helpful in assessing instability. Based  on your ? .
