Mgt: Observe for increased redness, swelling and pain. A topical calamine and antihistamine lotion may be applied for comfort. You may need an antibiotic if the area is infected. To prevent infection, a topical antibiotic may be used.Please see your physician.

Mystery bites: Based on your description, this could be a spider bite (but very unlikely to be a dangerous one), or a bite from insect, flea, etc.  Sometimes bumps like this represent skin infections which may NOT come from bites. If it looks bad to you now, have a doc look at it today.  If looks okay now but increases in size, develops red streaks toward the wrist, or she gets new symptoms, see a doc right away

Get checked: Sounds like you may have had some kind of insect bite. Spider bites typical do itch and burn.  I would be worried if you notice redness to your fingers or streaks going up your hand/forearm which could be signs of infection.  Also if you are have any burning or discomfort when you urinate you should see your provider to give a urine sample.  You may need to be prescribed antibiotics.

20 or more spider bites from 24 hrs ago.  bites are now 2-3 inches in size, swollen hands, chills, headache and restless.  i have tried benadryl, cream and tabs, tylenol and a paste of vinegar/baking soda.  what's next???

: You should be treated in the hospital emergency room ASAP as you're experiencing worrisome systemic symptoms from venom from so many spider bites.You're beyond the simple treatment of antihistamines.

Bite: A picture would be ideal. Bed bugs usually bite multiple times. They are usually very itchy. A spider bite tends to be more painful and sometimes has a blister like lesion in the center. All the best and send along a picture.

Possible: Hard to tell as the fire ant bite is often red swollen and itchy just like really allergy. The protein component of the venom is indeed allergenic so subsequent stings may lead to progressively more severe reactions.  If this happens see your doc.

Horsefly bite: Sounds like you are having a localized allergic reaction to the bite, but may also have an infection developing.  Antihistamines may help reduce the swelling, as well as cool compresses, and elevating the hand (prop it up on some pillows), but if there is a question of infection (swelling, redness, warmth) then you need to see your provider for t reatment.

Ice: I would apply ice to the swollen area. Also take antihistamine such as Benedryl. Keep hand elevated so swelling doesn't get worse.

Cat Bite: Cat Bites are notorious for getting infected. In fact, I was taught to treat them with antibiotics from the first because they would get infected.  Time to see a doctor today to be treated. Otherwise it sounds like you have a viral infection causing your other symptoms.
