Reading, writing, speaking and listening skills may be evaluated. If the voice is is thought to be the problem, then a video recording or video stroboscopy is performed to check vocal cord movement. Breathing pattern is also evaluated.

Support must come from professional agencies that will determine appropriate use of limited resources.

Many people have a lisp, etc. Which impairs pronounciation and speech pathologists help them form words better.
