Viral Infection: You are describing a possible viral infection by coxsackie virus.  This infection can cause Herpangina which can cause sores on the tonsillar pillars.  I would see a Physician for evaluation to confirm this is nothing more serious.

: Tonsils are basically large lymph node, and the larger they become the more likely the are to have blind ended tunnels (follicles) which become filled with bacterial plaque which is infected and canbecome hardened and odorous. Infection form areas in the vacinity of the head drain to them. When you get a sore throat they are involved and get more swollen and tender. Finger massage may help!

i have been experiencing flu like systems but including an extremy sore throat. there are some blister sores on the back of my throat. what can i do?

Dr. can check throat: New throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or the "flu" (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to see about antibiotics). Throat lozenges and acetaminophen can temporarily decrease pain.
