Clean and pad the so: You could be getting irritation from shoes rubbing over a prominent heel bone at the back. If this is the case, clean the sores with soap and water, apply a neosporin or other antiseptic cream to the area and cover with a bandaid. Then pad the area with something like moleskin. Haglund's Deformity: If the back of the heel bone is enlarged or has a deformity this could be very well be a haglund's deformity. In women this is sometimes referred to as a "pump bump." if conservative treatments such as padding and changing shoes are not adequate then surgical removal can provide good relief of symptoms.
