earlier today i ran my toe over with a 2 ton machine, on accident of course, it hurt pretty bad but s extremely sore and hard to move. did i break it, what to do?

Most Likely: If you dropped that much weight on your toe it is almost certainly broken.  I recommend you see a podiatrist right away for an x-ray and treatment.

Did you injure it?: Check the nail - is there any particular swelling or pus-like material coming from anywhere near the nail? Are your toes rubbing against overly tight shoes? I am not sure why it is this way. Would be concerned about possible infection.  Warm? Tender? Swollen? Pus? Red streaking?  One option is to see you podiatrist  for evaluation & treatment.

Couple of things: Many things can cause swelling on one sided swelling of your great toe.  Fracture, infection, and gout are a few examples.  I would recommend seeing your primary care doctor or a podiatrist for a more thourough evaluation.

Sounds like an: allergic reaction possibly due to a contact allergy.  take an antihistamine and see if you have improvement.  if it spreads from your toe up your foot or involving your leg seek medical care.

Evak=l.: From your description it sounds like you have swelling and pain of both your foot and your great toe.  I would be more concerned about infection if you reported having redness, warmth or discharge. I don't know how severe your pain is or what your medical history is.  Don't know the cause of this inflammation. Please consider eval by podiatry or your PCM.

It's : It's hard to say without examining you whether you actually have an infection, an ingrown toenail, or another problem going on with your toe.  Give your doctor a call and have them take a look at it.  If your primary care doctor is unable to help you, you may want to contact a podiatrist in your area.  If it is an infection, you may need antibiotics.  If you have an ingrown toenail, they can cut out the piece of the nail that is ingrown - sometimes at the root of the nail - and apply a medication to stop the nail from re-growing in that spot and becoming ingrown again.

In the meantime, make sure you are soaking your toe in warm water 2-3 times a day for 20 minutes at a time. If it is worsening instead of improving, or if you have increased redness, swelling, pain, drainage, or fever, call your doctor immediately.

See your Doctor: See your primary care your circulation needs to be evaluated and you need treatment of your genetic cholesterol level and possible prevent of early diabetic changes get your HgA1c checked by you Doctor!
