Depends on what: the underlying cause for sore throat is.  A chronic infection like oral thrush can go on for weeks, and so does acid reflux.  Post viral sore throat can last days but should not persist beyond a week or 10 days.  If there is herpetic lesions, or strep infection intially, the inflammation can persist for a month or more.  You would need to get help from professional healthcare provider.

Yes, that could be: considered normal. Mononucleosis is a viral infection usually (not always) caused by the Ebstein-Barr virus. More common symptoms are the fever and sore throat, as you suggest. My concern about hearing that you are vomiting is perhaps that is associated with spleen enlargement, a known complication of infectious mononucleosis.I would recommend a revisit with your doctor for evaluation. No reason to wait-: Though most symptoms of an upper respiratory tract infection are caused by viruses, there is no reason for you to wait and have your doctor check you out for a strept infection. Just don't go the appointment expecting to get an antibiotic 
each time you suspect you need it- otherwise,  you will end up with a multidrug resistant bacterial infection.

Fever means germs: Fever is bodies natural response to some germ, viral or bacterial, that has invaded the system.Fever increases metabolism for the body to make germ fighters, raised heart rate to push the blood around &amp; bring germ fighters to the battle. It could be as simple as a flu or more complex like a kidney infection. Panado would be expected to influence the process for 4 hrs. Get evaluated if it persists.

Possibly viral: These symptoms are consistent with a viral syndrome which could include influenza. Initially rest, plenty of fluids and tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen( if not allergic) should help, however if this is the flu you might need to be seen to get medication for that. Other possibilities are bacterial infections, pneumonia. In a female of your age if you are sexually active it would be good to check for pregnancy.
