i still have swollen lymph nodes and slight sore throat after strep treatment. why? i finished 10 day amoxicillin prescription ~5 days ago.

Sore troat: The infection may have been a virus therefore the medication would not have been effective. Also if it was a bacterial infection then there's is alot of resistance to amoxil (amoxicillin).   Check back in with your primary care doctor. They may want to reexamine you.

No: Strep has to be treated with antibiotic. Sore throat is usually caused by virus, may be the presenting symptom of a cold. You can try sore throat losanges, warm tea or Tylenol (acetaminophen). Strep throat usually causes pain with swallowing and fever without any cough. It needs to be treated with antibiotic.

: Make sure that the post treatment throat culture is not just a rapid strep culture. To detect other throat pathogens you'll need a regular throat culture the results of which take up to 3 days. It will not detect a viral throat infection but most viral throat infections resolve after a week or so.

Depends on diagnosis: It depends on how long everything has been going on.  There are numerous diagnosis for sore throat. Usually a pharyngitis is initially a viral infection and can turn into a bacterial infection.  If you have been having this for a long time (months) maybe its allergies.  You should be evaluated by a physician if it bothers you.

Speak with your doc: I assume you are having iodine treatment for thyroid cancer or dysfunction?  If  you have been suffering from fever and sore throat for 3 weeks it is best to talk to your doctor before receiving more treatments.  It sounds like you have an infection and need to pay your doctor a visit.

Sore throat: Treatment for sore throat depends upon the cause. 90% of cases are caused by a virus, and there are no antibiotics against this type of virus. Treatment is just with ibuprofen, fluids, and waiting it out. 5-10% of cases are caused by the strep germ (strep throat), and this is treated with penicillin or other comparable antibiotics.

Self-isolate: If you have Covid, you need to self-isolate. Quarantine yourself. Drink lots of fluids, esp electrolyte solutions, rest, Take Acetaminophen for fever/pain/sore throat, nasal decongestants and cough meds as needed. Eat a bland diet (Bananas/Rice/Apples/Toast) if nauseous. See a Dr for worsening difficulty breathing, blue lips/face, confusion/lethargy, and persistent chest pain.

i usually have a sore throat after every 2-3 months and take an anti biotic known as kalricid for treatment. this is now concerning me as i am experiencing a lot of pain especially after waking up.
please suggest some home remedies to cure this?

Sore throat : The reason it may be returning it is that the bacteria is resistant to Kalricid. You should see a doctor for proper care, you may be risking the spread of infection to the heart  and /or kidney
