Contusion : it should resolve in few days. If more pain to area I would advice to see your doctor for Doppler to make sure no blood clot

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. What you described suggests warts. You may try over the counter treatment for warts.

See your Dr: It is not normal for children to experience foot or lower limb pain. There are many conditions that cause foot pain that can easily be treated once Diagnosed. These include flat feet, heel spurs/inflammation, calluses, growths, infection, in toeing and strains. Take him to see your PCP for a thorough exam and diagnosis so that the problem will not lead to long term problems.

Difficult to say: Without examining your child it's difficult to say what is causing these symptoms.  Sounds like hand foot and mouth disease but without an examination it's not possible to say for sure.

Maybe: Usually a newborn has immunity to some of these viral strains because the mother likely had it as a kid &amp; transfers a few months worth of protection. I would avoid contact if possible as it passes in oral secretions or poop. I never saw it that young in 4 decades as a pedi.

Varicose veins?: If you have  veins that you can see in your legs, think about seeing a phlebologist (vein specialist).  If you don't see any veins, you could try wearing compression stockings during the day.  If that helps, i would still see a phlebologist.  If no veins and stockings don't help, a visit to a podiatrist might be in order.  Seeing your primary care doctor before anyone else is never a bad idea.

See doctor: Warmth and pain are two of the cardinal signs of inflammation. See primary care doctor or rheumatologist to make sure that you do not have an underlying autoimmune disease like rheumatoid arthritis .  They may intern  have you evaluated by a foot specialist  for evaluation.

Stepping on a nail: requires medical attention. You may need tetanus shot depending on your last booster shot. Also if there is redness and swelling may need anti biotics, so best you get to a doctor right away.

Foot discomfort: Apparently there is no foot soreness when you're up and around bearing weight on that foot. Since the discomfort is only noted in bed at night, it could be a type of perpheral neuropathy or be a nerve impingement. I would start with an evaluation by a podiatrist. Referral may be made to a neurologist depending upon the findings.
