Varies greatly: An alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma may appear and kill in a week or two.  A well-differentiated liposarcoma can grow for ten years without your knowing it, be removed and never trouble you again. Much depends on the grade and stage, and despite the pop wisdom ("my doctor said i would live thus-and-so long"), no physician ever gives more than percentage odds. Good luck.

A mass?: The most common knee mass is the familiar baker cyst. Cancer arising in the knee is usually a sarcoma of some sort; osteosarcomas, ewing sarcomas, and pigmented villinodular synovitis are all common here. There are plenty of benign bone and soft tissue tumors here as well. Hoping you get a favorable diagnosis, and best wishes.

there is a lobulated soft tissue mass noted in the para aortic region involving the ports hepatis. the mass is inseparable from the head of the pancreas. this lobulated mass measures approx 10.8 x 8.2 cm axially..  what does this (likely) indicate? cancer

Needs evaluation: Abnormal masses in the abdomen certainly can be due to cancer. This most certainly should be worked up, typically by looking for lesions elsewhere and possibly a biopsy of the mass. What diseases run in your family? There are many non-cancerous and cancerous causes of abdominal masses; it is best not to guess. Get the answer.

74yr old male with kidney cancer non aggressive, very large soft tissue sarcoma in thigh primary (incurable), lung cancer  secondary aggressive. no treatment for any due to misdiagnosis.. short of breath, tires easily. what would life expectancy be?

Hard to guess: One's life expectancy is hard to tell even for the doctors who are taking care of the patient in-person. Life expectancy is not something we can guess on a free, public forum. With very advanced disease, the goal is to have better days during the remaining days, weeks, or months. The goal is not to live longer, but rather to live in more comfort to better enjoy the remaining time.

issues of bloating, abdominal pains, constipation & lower back pains for 2 mos. all bloodwork stable except a1c result is elevated. ct scan w/o contrast (allergic to iodine) shows pancreatic head soft tissue mass. mri recommended. is this cancer?

: This is apparently not a cyst. It could be benign, precancerous or cancerous.  The MRI may shed more light on the issue. I recommend consulting an abdominal surgeon with a great deal of experience operating on the pancreas in case surgery is advised. You may have to consult one at the department of surgery at a university hospital.

whenver i blow my nose there's droplets of blood and bloody mucus in the tissue. is this normal? could it be a sign of infection or cancer?

Probably not: Especially in dry winter air, some blood when you blow your nose can be normal.  If this is unusual for you, and if you have other symptoms (congestion, fatigue, drainage, etc.), it could be a symptom of sinus infection. It would be very rare for this symptom to mean you have cancer.  A simple treatment would be to start moisturizing with saline spray and a little vaseline periodically.

had biopsy result of lump in post nasal space. the result said consistent with adenoide tissue. what does this mean? is it cancer?

No...: From what you have described, there is no mention of cancer.  Adenoids are a normal part of the body (which can get enlarged).  They are a mass of lymphatic tissue situated posterior to the nasal cavity, in the roof of the nasopharynx, where the nose blends into the throat.  This fragment of the report looks fine, but talk to the doctor who did the procedure to confirm that everything looked good.

when you have cancer why do you get lots of mucas from your nose?

Not sure!: I'm not sure what kind of cancer you mean.  Having lots of mucous from your nose isn't a sign of most cancers.  Some cancer treatments, like chemotherapy, can cause your nose to run.  That's because the chemo harms the little hairs in your nose that normally keep mucous from dripping out.  If you can give more specifics in another question, maybe i can help you more!
