Needs a question: Unfortunately there is not a real question here.  
Cysts are growths that occur below the skin which are fluid  filled sacs.  Particularly in people who shave in the pubic region i frequently see abcesses. An abcess is a deep infection below the skin and often requires a surgical treatment.  If you have a painful red bump in the pubic region (regardless of gender) see a doctor right away!

i have a small bump (maybe cyst) on my pubic area that will puss sometimes. should i be worried? what can it be?

Maybe?  Infection?: In the pubic area, this is most likely an infected hair follicle or small skin abscess.  It could be due to MRSA a very common and painful staph infection seen commonly today.  You may have a sebaceous cyst as well.  If it were lower down on the lips of the vaginal area, one would be concerned with a bartholin's cyst.  Use lots of soap and water, antibiotic ointment and observe.  If worse get seen.

Pimples: You can get pimples as well as cysts in your pubic area.. See your doctor for evaluation and treatment.

Pubic cyst: there are multiple possibilities including infection vs pilonidal cyst  . if it is painfull and redness around it see a physician for antibiotics and may be drainage.
if this is near the genital area it could be related to sexually transmitted disease also.
keep the area clean meanwhile and avoid scratching the area

Probably not: You could try some warm compresses but true sebaceous cysts require surgical excision. They are usually not painful unless they are becoming infected. You may need to see a physician.

It's likely: A recurrent folliculitis, like a pimple, from infected hair follicles.  Can be from shaving, may need antibiotics but keep area clean with soap and water and use warn, hot compresses to see if this makes them surface faster.  Get seen if gets worse.

recently i tested positive for hsv1 and 2. in actually shocked as i was feeling fine and asked for the test.  i did an igm herpes test. i had what i thought was like  a cyst in the upper right of my pubic area. im guessing that was herpes?

: Herpes usually produces vesicles that rupture to reveal a raw area. 
If you get painful lesions in the genital area, your doctor can prescribe anti-viral medication that can limit the outbreaks and symptoms.
Let your sex partners know of you HSV status.
