i am 24.i'v noticed few red rashes on the head of my penis. since then i'm cleaning it regularly with luke warm water adding suthol in it twice a day. also i've used boroline n soframycin once in it. bt d rashes r still there. plz hlp me solving this?

: Please see a Urologist to make sure . Stop using all those meds and try OTC cortisone ointment in the meantime

can i use framecytin creams like soframycin for vaginal yeast infection?

Won't help: soframycin is an antibacterial cream, will not work with yeast infection. You want to use antifungal cream as miconazole, ask your pharmacist about it, good luck

i had an infection on my penis that left the foreskin around the glands swollen. after i apply ointment, do i try to put the foreskin back over?

Do not force: Do not force the skin back. Wait for the infection to clear. You may clean under the foreskin by dipping the head in warm water. If the issue persists you may consider circumcision.

Hard to guess: The pediatrician or family doctor who takes care of a toddler with irritated foreskin can advise on what to do. An exam is usually needed. If there is no discharge, sometimes some mild anti-yeast cream and some mild anti-bacteria cream can clear things up. The doctor might ask the parent to bring the cream and child in, to show how to best apply the cream. Sometimes a video consultation suffices.

Best contact your MD: You have made a reasonable effort with OTC ant-candida (yeast) medication without desired results. It would now be best to contact your MD for a more thorough exam--as this skin disorder may not be due to a yeast infection, but another type of more resistant fungus. Sometime oral medication is required in more difficult cases such as yours. Also, this rash may not be infection but a form of eczema

Get exam: Since you have continuing issues with your penis I recommend an examination by your physician or a urologist to see what the matter is. Normal penis tissue shouldn't be bumpy. You will also be instructed on good penis hygiene.
