already asked this question but the response didnt answer my question. is it normal to feel exhausted after eating, especially dessert? ill have a lot of times where i can barely keep my eyes open. is this normal or something to get checked out?

: You should check a blood sugar when you are feeling this way as this can be a sign of an elevated blood sugar. Your doctor can also check a hemoglobin A1C but if this sensation is not happening very often, this lab may still be ok even though you are having symptomatic elevated blood sugars. You may need to get a glucometer so you can check your blood sugar when this occurs and report it to doc

i'm exhausted but can't sleep. for the past 8 days i've only slept 3-4 hours per night, only 1-1.5 hours at a time. i'm so tired i can't keep my eyes open. i tried relaxation and meds. but i'm still wide awake just laying there with my eyes closed.

Doctor can evaluate: Normal, healthy people don't get constant tiredness or sleep problems without a good reason. One's primary care doctor can evaluate and look for symptom causes such as anemia, infection, mental illness like depression, auto-immune disease, thyroid problem, cancer, sleep disorder, etc...  Various tests may be needed, depending on one's whole story, and her sequence of symptoms.

Vertigo: 62 y/o female says, First thing in am open eyes...room spinning when change position; exhausted 2+ days after. Known as Vertigo, usually due to infection/ inflammation of the middle/inner ear. Usually Viral but can be Bacterial also. Best to see M.D for management.

i sleep all night, but when i get up in the morning, i feel so exhausted that i am back in bed by 1 pm. i feel so tired that i can't keep my eyes open. my doctor prescribed adderall several months ago, but there has been no change. what should i do?

Exhausted: Set up a quiet hour before bedtime. Stop all electronic devices. Listen to soft music, take a warm bath and drink a warm glass of milk. Get to bed at the same time every night.

take klonopin (clonazepam) bedtime & find it hard to wake in am &take care of my 5 mo son. i'm exhausted all am barely keep eyes open. klonopin (clonazepam) or just being tired?

See your doctor: You should see your doctor if you are having that much trouble staying awake during the day. Make sure you aren't having another medical condition- thyroid problems, infection, etc. Tell your doctor you are very sleepy on the Klonopin (clonazepam) and perhaps she can suggest something that won't cause morning sleepiness.

Ketosis?: Exhaustion &amp; metal taste in your mouth?  Are you eating regularly?  Sounds like a metabolic imbalance or too much aspartame, the allegedly toxic sweetener in most sugar-free beverages. Also don't forget good dental hygeine... As the saying goes, "only floss the teeth you wanna keep!"  Some pretty foul tastes arise from the rotting food particles, meat, etc stuck between our teeth.

: I expect you're experiencing swings in your blood sugar from high spikes after eating sweets to low sugar after your body secretes insulin to lower the high spikes of your postprandial sugar. The sugar may transiently go below normal causing symptoms. The treatment is to avoid eating concentrated sweets. Many reasons: Medications like benadryl, (diphenhydramine) dehydration, low blood glucose, low thyroid, sleep deprivation. Talk to your doctor.

i am 9 dpo and am experiencing nausea, vomitting (once) and extreme fatigue. can't keep my eyes open. is this too early to be pg symptoms?

Could be: It is a bit early. These symptoms set in at about 5-6 weeks. You period may not be quite accurate though. Have you taken a pregnancy test?
