Nyquil: nyquil, contained benadryl (diphenhydramine) which is anticholinergic, which can make you feel goofy and disconnected.this is probably what us making you feel like this.

taken effexor (venlafaxine) 375mg for 2 years.  i'm just now realizing how i can't sleep w/out taking trazodone.  is it bc my effexor (venlafaxine) prescription is too high?

It's possible: Your antidepressant can be so stimulating that it keeps you awake at night. Discuss this with your doctor. It may be reasonable to try a lower maintenance dose of your Effexor (venlafaxine). However, your doctor needs to be involved in the decision. Best wishes!

i'm on 100mg trazodone, 100mg zoloft (sertraline) 1000mg depakote 2mg risperal & seroquel xr 150mg at night. i feel high 30minutes later should this be happening?

No: I would talk to your psychiatrist, i suspect your blood pressure is either getting low on all of that trazodone and quetiapine or you are becoming slightly delirious on the two antipsychotics.  If you have one of those battery operated blood pressure cuffs you may want to check your blood pressure about 30 minutes to an hour after you take those medicines if you are even able to stay awake.

the combined use of escitalopram & trazodone causes high serotonin level in blood. so for insomnia treatment should i prefer trazodone?say a safe alt.

They can be combined: AT typical doses of those medicine (escitalopram up to 20 mg a day, trazodone up to 200 mg at night0, they would not be expected to interact negatively, assuming your body metabolizes them as expected.  When they are used properly together, while they both affect serotonin, if your body metabolizes them as expected, they would not cause high serotonin.

i was on cipralex 20mg trazodone 50mg for approx 3 years. recently getting more anxiety with high blood pressure and pulse rate spikes. doc changed meds to exsira 100mg, rivotril 0.5mg and dopaquel 25mg. symptoms are now worse, do i just continue?

Ask your doctor: According to your profile, you're pregnant so please check with your OB to make sure both meds are ok to take. Not sure what "non-repetitive" Trazodone dose means. Do you mean "as needed for" ? what you don't say. Good you're cautious about taking these meds especially if pregnant. Don't know doses so best to check also with your prescribing doctor if that person isn't your OB. Hope this helps.

Desyrel (trazodone): It is the brand name for trazodone, an antidepressant which is mainly used to help people sleep. Only doses above 400mg has antidepressant effects but that would usually cause so much sleepiness that it is not used at all for depression. Most people sleep well at 100mg or below. A minority needs up to 450mg to sleep well, but they have other severe mental problems also.
