4-6 wks.: Hardware removal from the distal fibula(near the ankle ) is commonplace. At your age you should be nearly 'recovered' @ 6 wks. Or so. The screw holes left behind do need to 'fill in' before you can fully released to all activities( sports).Best of luck!

Fibula fracture: A standard fractured bone that is in place without major displacement takes 8 to 12 weeks to heal in a healthy person with proper immobilization. Smoking, diabetes, osteoporosis, and other chronic conditions can prolong or delay this healing. Premature mobilization or weight bearing on the extremity could also cause delayed or non healing.

Depends: Depends on severity of your (clean break) and the orientation of the adjacent ends. You are looking at about 6 weeks with no weight on leg, then 2-4 weeks with limited weight wearing a walking cast. X-rays will be a big factor on time to put weight on your leg.

Depends: Normal bone will heal in around 6 weeks.  If there is space or gapping between the fracture ends, it may take longer for new bone to bridge the gap.  Also, certain medical conditions and medications can delay bone healing.

I always wonder: Whyi when you are put in the cast that is not discussed? Bone takes approx 6-8 weeks to heal. Xrays and clinical findings are taken into account so it does not mean you are in the cast the entire time.
