Yes: You can, although most ivf docs recommend removing anything abnormal form inside the uterus prior to embryo transfer.

Consult with your MD: Every doctor has a different comfort level with what they're willing to try in the office. a Larger polyp will take more time to remove hysteroscopically and if you're willing to go through the discomfort of a procedure for a while then that would be helpful to let your doctor know.

just was  told i have a uterine polyp about 7.2cm. what is the treatment, is it considered small or large and should i be concerned?

Symptomatic?: 7.2 cm is a fairly large polyp, the non pregnant uterus is about 7.6 cm. I assume that you had symptoms that led to finding the polyp. If you can live with the symptoms then you can live with the polyp. If the symptoms are not bearable or get worse then you should have it surgically removed.

had a hysteroscopy myo that was 90% success.  dr said there are small remnants left in the uterine wall that will rid during my cycle.  do you agree?

May, or may not!: Depends also what your doctor means by "remnants on the uterine wall"? Is it only fragments of uterine lining or fragments of endometrial polyp-(s), or other maybe significant endouterine abnormalities!? You may need a close follow up by gyn exam. As well as transvaginal sonograms to monitor potential further growth!

came across endosee advance. i only have one small uterine polyp to remove. is local anesthesia needed? or is it easy to do like a sonohysterogram?

: Hysterography is usually done for intrauterine visualization for polyp removal, and the hysteroscope is larger than the cannula used for hysterography, so a local anesthetic may be a good idea.

i had a small uterine polyp for a few years. i never had it removed. i had a couple episodes of spotting. i got checked and uterine polyp was gone. now a year later i had some spotting again and got ultrasound again. it's back. removal necessary?

: Uterine polyp should be removed when it really bothers you such as significant bleeding which causes iron deficiency anemia or frequent spotting which affects your quality of life, etc.

Yes: Yes good for iui, but if that is his consistent result (on two tests), and the cervix is normal and you are not using Clomid (clomiphene) as a stimulation drug for fertility treatment, there is no good evidence that IUI actually increases pregnancy rates.  Iui became popular as a treatment to balance the negative effect of Clomid (clomiphene) on the cervical mucous.  Now with newer drugs not so necessary.  Good luck.

i'm being advised to terminate due to risk of uterine rupture what are your thoughts? the ultrasound shows a small peri sac bleed on the fundal aspect of the sac

Why???: I am sorry...what is the rationale?  If there is no fetal heart beat...understandable.  Uterine rupture probably will not occur because of a pregnancy.  There is no reason to undergo a termination based on the history given.  If your doctor is concerned about said pregnancy....see somebody else.  You can carry a pregnancy close to term.  Chance of uterine rupture is less than 1%....

history of midcycle bleeding growing up around cycle days 8-10. they found a small uterine polyp but it went away after sometime. spotting went away after kids. now today about 1.5 years since my last mid cycle bleed.it happened again.should i get us?

: "Mid-cycle bleeding" is often caused by two follicles being released, which along with increased stimulation of eggs (at age "33") results in higher estrogen just prior to ovulation, and the drop in estrogen at ovulation is similar to onset of withdrawal bleeding in menstruation. Ask your GYN  physician about oral bcp's, which stop ovarian hormone production and therefore mid-cycle bleeding.
