Os trigonum: Os trigonum is seldom symptomatic & seen in more than 10% of the population. Its a normal structure encountered in average people & professional athletes. Acquired form can result from non-union fractures. Conservative treatment can be effective in symptomatic patients with surgery being the last resort. Doubt permanent nerve damage & would re-consider diagnosis if that is the case.

Nothing w/o symptoms: You need to relay your symptoms to a podiatrist (foot doctor) before interpreting any scan / test. It sounds like this X-ray shows some bony growth in the right heel (calcaneal spur) that's not causing any inflammation (reactive change). The trigonum bone in the foot has fluid pockets &amp; some spurs that'd cause pain on the inside of the foot if it were symptomatic. It could be diabetic Charcot foot

An os trigonom: Is simply an extra bone. So, it would be important to figure out what is specifically causing the pain. Is your flexor tendon to the big toe inflamed at the back of the talus etc? This would be visualized on an MRI which if you haven't had would be a good idea. The issue then becomes how to treat....In a ballerina i would likely advise against any steroid usage. Perhaps, a period of rest/therapy.

Os Trigonum: typicalky the surgery involves removing the piece of bone from the inside of a tendon- the Tibialis Posterior Tendon. The tendon needs 3-4 weeks to heal, then 3-4 weeks of therapy to regain the strength. So 6-8 weeks. Sometimes longer.

Brace and Phys Thera: An ankle sprain is an injury to your ligaments, not bones.  It needs to be taken seriously to allow the ligaments to heal at a normal length.  If you keep injuring it, your ankle may become unstable and require surgery to fix.  An ankle brace or taping will allow some activity.  Getting a home program of exercises will also speed the recovery.  Ankle sprains can vary widely in severity and recover.

Describes anatomy: MRIs are anatomical tests - you have to infer how the part functions (without the pics, it's hard). A subchondral cyst is an area of sparse bone "beneath the cartilage", i.e, in the bone, which u may have had since birth. Synchondrosis is a joint type, where flat parts of 2 bones touch. Marrow edema refers to inflammation/swelling from trauma. What type of symptoms do you have that led to the MRI?

Cartilage damage: Prominent marrow edema of the lateral trochlea  means that the cartilage covering the bone in this area is injured or worn thin.  This is a common place to develop arthritis which causes marrow edema when the cartilage gets too thin or is worn out and bare bone is exposed there.  If you had a recent injury, it could be cartilage damage rather than arthritis. See your provider for recommendations.

Another: 2-4 weeks at least. Bone "bruises" (Periosteal hematoma )
are notorious for prolonged disability. This is a collection of blood (now clotted) UNDER the LINING of the BONE ITSELF!! The CIRCULATION is LIMITED in that area.  ACTIVE PHYSICAL THERAPY along with DEEP HEAT and ULTRASOUND treatments is INDICATED and will diminish the time for recovery
