Mgt: The rash may be a contact or heat rash if it is localized and not associated with any symptoms such as fever or runny nose. Some viruses can initially present with a rash prior to cold symptoms. If it persists or worsens, please see your PCP.

Just monitor:  We can all get a little itchy at times. It doesn't necessarily mean that there is a health problem. Occassionally yeast, staph or streph infections may develop in the belly botton. So, if it becomes red, warm, tender, has pus etc. - then talk with his pediatrician

Diaper rash: If your baby wears diapers with an elastic band, she may have a latex allergy.  Without seeing a picture olof the rash however, one can only speculate.

Cool compresses!: Wash cloth with cool water and hold on the closed eyes. You can also use a preservative free artificial tear drop every couple hours. Otherwise see your pediatrician.

Few things...: Could be irritated skin, contact with some sort of allergen, fungal infection, the beginning of a bacterial infection (less likely)... Lots of things!  best to get it checked out by their doc.  Good luck!

Itchy Allergic: The itchiness you describe and bilateral ( two sided) nature, as well as the time of year certainly would be associated with allergic cause.  She is old enough for claritin (loratadine) 5 mg reditab as a trial medicine.  If she's not better within the week, I'd have her looked at by her pediatrician or we are happy to consult here on prime!

? Nickel dermatitis: Many possibilities but common is a nickel dermatitis from the button on your jeans.  I would apply otc Hydrocortisone 3x daily (rx works better if you go to a dermatologist) and avoid wearing any pants with buttons.  If it goes away and you want to wear jeans again, you will need to apply 3 coats of clear nail polish before you wear them every time.  Please get checked if not resolved.

Doctor can examine: Rashes are hard to describe in words. A doctor's exam can help decide what rash spots or bumps on the skin might be. Spots can be "post-inflammatory," the residual effects of an earlier rash. Spots can be bug bites, eczema (sensitive, dry skin), scabies, fungal infections (tinea versicolor), reactions with chemicals like soaps, etc... There are many possibilities.
