i just got bitten by a tiny black bug with wings. about the size of an exclamation mark. should i be worried? what is it? hurt like a fire ant bite.

The following are: ...reasons for concern:  1. If you get a rash over other parts of your body.  2. If you get  swelling of your face, lips or throat.  3.  If you have trouble breathing.   4. If the bite area turns into an open wound or increases significantly in size.  Meanwhile, apply ice to the area for 15 minutes every 2 hours as needed,  Take OTC pain meds as needed &amp; an OTC antihistamine if it itches. Dr. Anne

what causes a small gray dot (floater) in vision? and is it something to be concerned about

Accepted Answer

Floater: This is a vitreous floater. Vitreous is a gel in the middle of the eye and tends to liquify and some small areas remain solid and float around in the liquid. This usually is benign. If light streaks or visual loss occur you most see an ophthalmologist to have a retinal exam.

i have a tiny, 3mm, black spot on the top of my wrist w/ a little gray in it. since it's so small do i have to have it checked or can it wait?

Depends: If its a new spot or an old spot which is changing colour, change in sensation or change in size or you are concerned then you should see doctor and get dermoscopy.

for almost one month (started noticing 12/28/22) i have been seeing my pulse in my vision. its like several small gray/translucent black spots that beat with my heart. i do have anxiety and this started right after recovering from covid?

: Your symptom is inexplicable. . If it persists and you are worried pl see an ophthalmologist. I think this is from your anxiety. In the meantime try exercise, music, meditation or some other form of relaxation. Hope you do well.

Stools: See your physician this requires further evaluation. Proctitis colitis and yes cancers can be the cause for these changes.

Completely: NORMAL  for small strands to turn grey in the twenties and there are cases of premature greyness..

Speak with a Dermatologist if your are worried OR use it as a FASHION STATEMENT!

Needs evaluation: If it is as you say this could be an embedded piece of metal or other dust that needs to be removed or it could distort a larger area on the eye. HAve him see his doc and s/he can decide if an eye doc should be consulted. I have removed these occasionally with techniques I learned during training.

Poss. epidermal cyst: It could be an epidermal cyst, but it could be a lot of other things as well. I would suggest that you have your doctor or a dermatologist look at it personally, and give you a definitive diagnosis.
