A member asked:

What causes a small gray dot (floater) in vision? and is it something to be concerned about

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Floater: This is a vitreous floater. Vitreous is a gel in the middle of the eye and tends to liquify and some small areas remain solid and float around in the liquid. This usually is benign. If light streaks or visual loss occur you most see an ophthalmologist to have a retinal exam.
