Position: Do you sleep on the side where you have this numbness.  At times if you lay in one position the entire night, you may feel this numbness in your arm and once the arm starts recovering there's tingling as well.  How long does it last? does it occur each night, sometimes during the day? any other symptoms?.  Change positions and see what happens.

Unlikely: Most commonly, focal hand numbness is due to carpal tunnel syndrome, or even ulnar nerve cubital tunnel issues.  Isolated hand numbness would be a rather unusual sign of stroke.

Chest pain : We need more information. Do you have chest pain with activity? If so then that is concerning for heart issues. This sounds more like an inflamed nerve in the neck, possibly from arthritis or a neck disc out of place.

Cervical spinal stenosis &amp; central brain lesion (stroke) would generally include other dramatic symptoms not mentioned. An expedited evaluation by a Neurologist is in order to properly diagnose; urgently if trauma was involved.
