Yes it can: Posttraumatic headaches can be either tension headaches or migraines and any injury where the skull was actually injured can cause these types of headaches. Postural changes related to aging can cause delayed start of these post-traumatic headaches as well.

i have a skull injury and i dont have a full skull but can i drive my car when i feel ok and nothings wrong with me and can i drive anywhere?

: Not fully clear to me as to your precise question.  Presume you have had surgery and repair of skull damage, perhaps a plate.  If you do not have residual brain damage affecting judgement, memory, motor skills, learning, coordination, and  you passed a driver's license test in  California, would not see necessity to limit driving.  But is there more, such as post-traumatic epilepsy??

Muscle or joint: Usually it's muscular. Cervical facet arthritis will also do it.  There are always dangerous causes (tumor, infection) but they are less common. See a pain doctor for diagnosis.

Usually not: If you wear a motorcycle helmet and hit your head, the helmet is designed to protect by breaking and absorbing the force.  So does the skull protect the brain.  Usually not a major issue, unless the crack cuts across the middle meningeal artery, which could result in an epidural hemorrhage, or it affects the cribiform plate at top of nose, loss of smell.  So, not serious, unless...

Look up phrenology: All skulls have slightly different shapes and combinations of bumps and valleys. The study of these differences and their relation to our character, heath, intellect, morality, criminality, etc, called phrenology was  popular in the 1800's. At your age you notice things that you ignored before. That doesn't make them abnormal. If you have to think about whether something hurts or not, it doesn't.

woke up with a hard fixated quarter sized bump on the back of my skull, no injury and it has been there for two days. hurts if i put pressure on it?

abscess: Sounds like you have an infectious process such as an abscess.  Get medical attention.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

ATLS: Trauma surgeons use a system for evaluating the multiply injured patient. We teach it in Advanced Trauma Life Support. We deal with the crucial areas of airway, breathing and hemorrhage control first. Then systematically examine the patient. We determine if surgery is needed and what other specialists are required. We use all sorts of neat tools to do this.

5 yo boy w/ painful pea size lump right base of skull, s/s for two days, not red or inflamed, no injury or infection .... concern?

Likely lymph node: There are chains of lymph nodes along the neck including at the base of the skull. They can become enlarged with any infection on the scalp, face, or ears... Often they can persist for a while after the infection resolves.  If it is still there the next time you see your pediatrician, ask him/her to take a look at it, but most likely it will resolve over the next few weeks.

i have a hard large and painful lump on the lower left backside of my skull. i have has no head injuries what could this be?

Lump: Could be a boil or cyst. Could be a lymph node or other growth. Usually something painful should be checked to get the right diagnosis and treatment.
