You can find these protocols on the CDC website and/or an excellent resource is to work through your local health department for treatment/medications/follow-up. Generally in your situation treatment lasts 9-12 months.

Depends on risk: If you have a recent conversion, meaning you were negative and now you are positive, 
a chest xray is done to see if you have the disease. sputum cultures are done if active disease is suspected based on symptoms and xray findings
 your doctor may decide to give you a medication to treat inactive disease.

Gold standard: This skin test remains the gold standard but these days the blood test has become just about as good.  In either case the allergens ordered should be guided by your history and exposures.

Milk allergy: Milk protein allergy is a recognized problem in the first year of life; cow’s milk protein allergy is the most common such allergy. Diagnosis is suspected on history alone, with laboratory evaluations playing a supporting role. Confirmation requires elimination and reintroduction of the suspected allergen. Management includes diet modification for nursing mothers and hydrolyzed formulas.

i am taking 3 different meds for allergies and zoloft (sertraline)..i had a blood test and skin test without stopping them. did that negate the tests?

Maybe: If you had a positive response to the allergy test, it is probably valid. However, the medications could have interfered with the test to give you a negative result when you are really allergic to something. There are different types of response to an allergen that is often cell-mediated but the process is rather complicated. There have been reported interference due to use of medications.

Blood tests: for food allergies are somewhat unreliable - as there are many problems with cross reactivities on the assays. Unless you have  had a particular event like you were unable to breathe or throat swelling after eating a particular food and are sure there was nothing else causing it- then these results may not be clinically important. Pollen/ and environmental allergy testing is much more reliable.

Allergies: Skin tests may be more reliable than blood tests. Consult an allergist. In the meantimetake antihistamines.

Food sensitivities: Blood tests are often inaccurate with regards to allergies, intolerances, and sensitivities. The best way to confirm a problem with these foods is to do a 4 week elimination diet. So do not eat dairy or soy products of any kind for 1 month and see how you feels.
