Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide an opinion without looking at the lesion. It may be seborrohic keratosis, an non-cancer lesion, but it would be prudent to see your doctor for an in-person evaluation.

Sure it's a scab?: The word "scab" usually means dried blood (like on a skinned knee). Dangerous skin cancers (melanomas) can be black but usually begin as flat dark spots that do not protrude upward from the skin until later. All black skin lesions should be evaluated by a physician ASAP! Please show this to your doctor immediately. Good luck.

Possible: A picture is worth a thousand words. Easy to take a picture and send to one of the online providers.  You could also notify your regular povider and have he or she take a look.

Facial Lesion: Greetings. I'm glad that the biopsy was negative for cancer.  It was an incisional not an excisional biopsy.  This means that your lesion was not completely removed.  I would recommended seeking out a Moh's Dermatopathologic surgeon for complete removal.  Once it is completely removed,  a detailed path evaluation of the entire specimen will be performed and hopefully,  it will finally heal.

Possibly: sounds more like skin damage from the sun called Actinic Keratosis. Go to your primary care physician and they should be able to freeze it off.

How long: How long has the scab been present?  What is it from originally?   In general if you recall an injury to the area and the scab is adherent, just give it time.  However, if the lesion just looks like a scab and isn't from a recent injury I would recommend getting it checked.  If an area is not healing, or nor resolving after a few weeks have it checked by your doctor.

Need more info: It is unlikely to be skin cancer. Did you hurt that site? Was it subject to constant rubbing from shoes or something else? For now watchful waiting is appropriate. If the lesion does not bleed, ulcerate, become foul smelling or has a discharge, you may give it time to heal.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

what are the odds a mole ive had for over 15 yrs turns into cancer? its all brown and round. i have a lot of anxiety about skin cancer. b/c of that i now have started to pick at it, it scabs and bleeds. i had a derm say it was fine 8 months ago?

: Bleeding and inflammation of the mole is common if you are picking it. Although a mold can become cancerous at anytime but if a dermatologist saw it 8 months ago and there was no suspicion of malignancy I think you are fine. If the mole does not come back to its original shape after 2 weeks you can visit your dermatologist again.
