can you get your skene gland removed with a hysterectomy and the appendix? it bugs me that there is another organ that is barely known and i dont want to keep it?

Hmmm....: A surgeon's motto isn't really, "When in doubt, cut it out." There are many organs in the human body. Just because an organ is less popularly known does not mean we should cut it out. Some people know a lot about cars. If they buy a new car, pop open the hood, and see a part they don't know anything about... no, they don't remove the part.

hello. i've experience recently a white tiny bump around the urethra.. its itchy and it does not hurt when i pee. could it be a skene gland cyst?

Maybe-Check this out: Skene duct cysts develop next  to the distal urethra, sometimes causing perineal discharge, dyspareunia, urinary obstruction, or abscess formation. So it's possible. You should have an exam by your gynecologist to be on the safe side.

Not cervical mucous: Sounds more like vaginal secretions, rather than cervical, if no odor, or irritation, can be normal. Otherwise need to check with your doctor

Pain: A Bartholin's abscess is a surgical emergency.  It can rupture and drain to the outside of your body, but could also rupture into the pelvis, which could lead to sepsis.

Antibiotics: Generally, oral or IV antibiotics will work fine for it.  However, if not improving, may need surgical drainage, particularly if you have a stone in the gland or duct.

: There could be a number of reasons like something wrong with your immunity, need for appropriate hygiene practices, it may be that there was remnant of the cyst that was not removed that allows for reoccurence. The use of antimicrobial soap wash may be helpful however it is best to have a gynecologist reevaluate.

cyst vs abscess: This does not show if you are male or female. If you are a female- cysts can show up from time to time - such as a Bartholin's Cyst. However, if there is an abscess or an infected cyst- then treatment may well be indicated.  Is the area red, hot, swollen, tender?
