can i take stilpane and sinutab extra strength together?

Check with doctor: A patient considering those two medications should call her primary care doctor for advice. Both Stilpane and Sinutab contain paracetamol (acetaminophen), so a patient might get too much of that ingredient. Stilpane contains meprobamate, and Sinutab contains chlorpheniramine, both of which are sedating to the brain... so a person could end up too drowsy.

can i take sinutab extra strength while breastfeeding? my baby is 8mnths old?

If you need to but.: This medication may pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Antihistamines and decongestants may also slow breast milk production. The amount in the breast milk may not be enough to hurt the baby but may reduce flow of breast milk. There are other medications you could use like Tylenol for headache and use chest rub with like Mentholatum to help the congestion. I hope you feel better.

i've been taking sinutab for sinus pain since and now i've developed a ear ache. is there medication that i can get to help my ear?

Hard to say: Those with sinus discomfort often will have the tube between the middle ear &amp; throat swell. This can result in fluid buildup that would act that way. That fluid &amp; discomfort can clear naturally. However, germs from the throat can enter the tube &amp; progress to an ear infection that needs prescribed meds. If it doesn't pass in a couple days contact your doc.

Whichever helps: They are both effective in improving symptoms of congestion. To determine which one is better you would need to try them both and see how they affect you.

Interaction: Sinutab contains chlorpheniramine, and pseudoephedrine.  Solphyllex contains theophylline. There are interactions between theophylline and chlorpheneramine or pseudoephedrine.

is it safe to take coactifed & sinutab together ?

No: They both have a decongestant and if you are 69 years old, i would check with your doctor befor taking either, they can have detrimental effects on the heart and blood pressure.

See your dr: rigors, that you are describing a sign of a systemic infection.

i have had a blocked nose, without any flu symptoms, that lasts for hours on end. i have used sinutab nasal spray for blocked nose, so much so that i rely on it too much. is there an alternative? how can i make my breathing more comfortable?

Nasal saline: Rinse with nasal saline and the use of a nasal steroid may be used to decrease inflammation. This is found over the counter, and used once daily may relieve symptoms. 
Avoid smoke, common allergens and consider allergy testing.  If there is a cough associated for more than one week, please see your PCP.

my husband is struggling with a blocked nose and he saw his gp a few days ago who put him on 1. austell amoxiclav,
2. sinutab and and a probiotic. he was also given flomist to use. nothing  happening and he  frustrated that i  buy a salex rinse. help?

Sinusitis : Saline rinse may help but if no,improvement over a few days get re-examined

also. what should i look out for if infection arises while on prednisone?

Prednisone: Generally beclomethasone spray can be eliminated while on oral prednisone, as well as other meds mentioned. Infection?  Persistent discolored nasal discharge, facial pain. Afrin or similar decongestant may help keep sinus ostia open, saline irrigations help as well. No smoking, no alcohol, no particulate exposure.
