STREP TONSILLITIS : Enlarged tonsils causing earache  due to pressure , headache , chills, body aches  and scarlet fever(rash).

Acupuncture: This treatment modality is ancient in origin, but has been found to have some utility when tested by modern science.  It is used with some success on today's battlefields as a pain control adjunct for the wounded.  I cannot predict whether it would work for your particular problem, but the downside risks are very low.

Need to examine: The cause of pain needs to be ascertained and addressed. By just taking pain medication, you may be masking an infection in the ear.
It would be prudent to see a doctor.

Sinus rinse -ear pop: Could be  that the rinse  also drains into the Eustachian tube, as both the sinuses and middle ear  drain into the Eustachain ( hence post nasal drip). There may be, due to congestion, increased fluid in the middle ear as well. When you rinse your sinuses  you are increasing the pressure in the Eustachian tubes , opening it and making your ears pop ( like when on a plane).  f/u /w/ doc

Throat infection?: Sounds like it could be a throat/tonsil infection. May need to get on some antibiotics. Not typical for sinus infection.

Possibly: Sinusitis may cause facial pain including the area around the ears. Use nasal saline rinses and a nasal steroid as indicated. Monitor your temperature and please follow up.

what would the symptoms of infection aquired via neti pot be? i have sinus and ear pain and have used neti pot with untreated well water.

Sinus irrigation: Please do not do that again. Only use sterile distilled water and use an irrigating bottle that can be washed and put into the microwave for 60-90 seconds to sterilize it. You could develop deadly amoebic meningitis otherwise with severe headache, nausea, vomiting, stiff neck, fever, coma, convulsions, and death.

Sinus: It could be allergies.  You may want to do allergy testing.  It could also be secondary to food sensitivities so consider and elimination diet.  Occasionally after long term treatment with antibiotic you can get fungal infection of the sinuses.  Full evaluation by an ENT would be important.  Dizziness could be unrelated or side effect of medications.  Ear pain can have other causes such as TMJ.

Have doctor recheck: your ears. The antibiotic used for sinus infections also treats ear infections, but if the pain doesn't get better in a day or 2, go back to the doctor. Meanwhile, take some ibuprofen or acetaminophen.
