MRI Is Pretty Good!!: I suspect there were enough ambiguities on the ultrasound to justify more clarification via an MRI, which would give more definitive detail. But really, you should ask the doctor(s) who ordered the MRI.There may also be something else going on besides the question of twins. Sometimes a much smaller twin will catch-up in size.Maybe they suspect a problem

Possible: It's very possible to have simple cyst in reproductive age and especially during pregnancy. Recommend to be reevaluation after delivery

Much less: You should expect to deliver later with a singleton, however the best predictor of preterm labor and delivery is a history of that.

Multiple pregnancy: It depends on whether your are using in vitro fertilization (IVF) type methods of conception, and more than one fertilized embryo is placed in your womb.  With placement of more than one fertilized egg in your womb, it is likely that multiple pregnancy will occur.  If not, it is extremeley rare to have triplets with "natural" attempts at pregnancy, and multiples are much less likely.

Yes.: Multiple pregnancies carry higher risks of complications, including preterm birth, pre-eclampsia, fetal growth restriction, polyhydramnios (too much amniotic fluid), placental abruption, postpartum hemorrhage, cord accident, and cerebral palsy. Risk of miscarriage & congenital anomalies is also increased. If you're having multiples, be sure to practice healthy habits & follow up w/ your ob.

Twice as many babies: Because the number of babies is doubled, the uterus grows larger faster; this will typically lead to a premature delivery at <37 weeks.  There are also increased risks of pregnancy complications such as pre-eclampsia.  Delivery route can also be affected if the first twin is not head down.  If the first baby is head down, then a vaginal delivery of both twins can usually be performed.
