Candida: Candida or yeast can certainly create these symptoms and presentation.  You can get a prescription from your doctor. In the meantime, cut out all sugar and yeast from your diet, keep the area clean and dry and you will start to feel better.

Could be yeast: try either miconazole or clotrimazole cream to the area twice daily and follow up with your physician.

Stop self treating: Get examined. You will need to stop any oils which will "lock in" any fungal infection. You will need to be examined,placed on both oral antifungal antibiotic and a cream that contains antifungal and cortisone medications. 8 years is a bit absurd...and you now have a chronic skin condition. Consider a dermatology evaluation.

Bump: Could be but could also be molluscum or herpes. Have it checked by your doctor, urologist or dermatologist.

This : This is unlikely shingles since the rash itself has lasted months. Perhaps it is a fungal infection or folliculitis or eczema or psoriasis?  I would recommend you see a dermatologist and get an accurate diagnosis so you can start good treatment to help your symptoms.  It is quite common to have these conditions in that location. I hope that helps a little.

Possibly.: Depends upon how long ago this occurred, but nerve regrowth is often heralded by odd neurologic sensations.

Itching on ear meds: Would contact your doctor who prescribed the medicine. Sometimes could be sign of non healing infection sometimes could be reaction/allergy  to the medicine , so please contact the doctor who prescribed the medicine and be evaluated .

: The burning sensation in the presence of an inguinal rash is nonspecific. Jock itch is best treated by an anti yeast or antifungal ointment(( with or without a corticosteroid to relieve associated itching) that your pharmacist can recommend. If you're already applying one, continue it as your rash is improving.  Avoid tight fitting jeans&amp;underwear. White cotton underwear is best.

: It may be due to the reaction with the 'fungus' and should heal and recover original color. If not see your MD again

Probably not: The books say that some people become allergic to the microbes that cause acne. It's time to get serious rx. If topical benzoyl perxoide has not cleared you in two weeks, or you have it on your trunk, get with your personal physician. You owe it to yourself.
